Noroci
They say a Noroci is born when a person has nothing left when the world has become so dark that their soul mirrors the darkness they see in the rest of the world, and they steal another's light. They might exist this way for centuries but one day they always turn from a human Noroci into a beast the day they feed for the first time on another being by taking their light. They remove the victim's eyes and they consume them, leaving the victim to become lost in their own mind and wander blindly in the dark until they die and in the process, they become a beast. The transformation to true Noroci is complete and the soul turns black as are doomed to be a monster on the outside and the inside seeking nothing but to consume the light of others for all time.
Steves
Whether they have another name or not is unclear but this is what a young Ever and Cole named them. Steve resemble bunnies with flowers on their heads in-between ears. They seem to come and go from places and lure kids to a realm of their own making. This realm is a magical place that appears full of treats but it is really rotting that the kids are tricked to eat changing them slowly into what they eat. The Steves consumed them slurping them up as they turn into slop.
Darakai
These creatures are common in the forest and when they are around magic doesn't work. In time one can move past the effect but for young witches, it can be quite the chore to encounter them. Not really dangerous themselves many other things will use their existence to hunt knowing the effects they have on magic.
