The most famous Queen according to many witches was a young woman by the name of Astrea. Her reforms sweep across the land as she marched to unify the clans and make life better for the common people. However, her life was cut short by those who opposed her. It wasn't till after her death that even her opponents began to see her for the visionary that she happened to be. Everyone seemed to want to cash in on her legend by claiming a piece of her fame.
One of the ways that the tried to achieve this was by trying to copy her specialty. Astrea was what was called a spirited ranger and she could bond with animals and use them to help her. Her animal of choice was the falcon though she could do it with others. Naturally, it wasn't that easy of a feat to do. Astrea was the only person who was known to master this power but a clan called Leidekker and its young leader was sure he could figure it out.
He wanted to use the falcon-like Astrea, however, Kyrell knowing that it would end badly decided to push his own agenda. An agenda against wolves hoping to fuel hatred for them he convinced him to use wolves instead. As he expected it was a disaster. Without knowing or having the power to do it properly they transformed into the beast form half man, half beast and out of control.
They went across the land killing everything they came across and as such hatred for wolves rose thus the Wolf Wars started. Witches started to hunt them hunting normal wolves to none existence before Ashir, the Nekare Alpha stepped in. He decided to figure out how to copy this strange half form the witches created in hopes to learn to control it. He managed to figure it out teaching it to his people as they taught it to the wolf/witch hybrids.
In time they taught them other things and they regained a semblance of themselves and this lead to the end of the war though not the tension between wolf and witch that is now only beginning to fade today and thus the Leidekker Pack was formed.
