Father to all life and the first thing to exist the Void was just darkness that in time grew into single thoughts and more and more thoughts till he tried to figure out where these thoughts came from and if he could create from them. In time he was able to do just that feeling the Void with the help of six pieces of himself. The Void is a realm of the mind and as such can consume those of lesser minds returning them back to being a part of it. Those who are born of the Void or into the Void seem to have a connection to exist within it and return to it upon death.
It is said that when the world ends the direct children of the Void--the Destruction Concepts or The Six warlords of the Void will break down the world and return it to be recharged into the world and someday it will just return and be taken back never to return again as will everything in existence.
The Darkness or Areli as he is known now has many forms within the Void he can take any form he desires on Asmiara he uses vessels normally those who died that he has pressured for his use throughout the centuries having quite a collection. Normally offering the person something in life to use their body after death. His most recent and favored body is named Areli thus why he uses that name. It is the first time he merged with the soul of a body instead of using a husk and he did so out of fondness for the bodies sister, Adelaide.
Areli is able to travel between the realms and is the ultimate ruler of the Void of which is a part of him. Kingdoms have risen up ran by the Destructive Concepts or others such as his chosen Queens or his biological children. The Void is always changing and moving and as such it is more a place of the mind than the physical.

The Light or Aine as she came to be known as a force that grew inside the darkness till one day she burst free this bright object taking on a form of her own and marrying the dark to become Queen of the Void. Her own little section different than the others some say apart from the Void but still apart while others say next to but not touching. It is here that her creations come when they die.
Being different than her siblings she seemed to be able to create physical life. She had a child of her body and in time her restlessness lead her to try and do more creating the world known as Asmiara and pulling it from the Void to give it an actual form and creating witches the first race to grace the world with hopes that they would spread out and with the Creative Concepts create other races and things that would form the make up of her new world and that was just what happened.
The various concepts created over race things like dragons, faeries, phoenixes, vampires, wolves, and mermaids that spread across the world. Other beings such as elves and humans would come into being because of mixing races or the loss of powers or other such things unexplained like magical animals but it was clear the world was growing which was her hope for it.
The Light wanted to interact with her creations so she found a way to bind with a mortal. Offering them something she lived inside of them slowly becoming apart of them and experiencing life with them till it was time for them to pass on then she would return to her non-physical form and watch the world once again repeating the cycle many times throughout the eons.
