Werewolf, lycan, shapeshifter, or any variety of names that are given to those who have the form of the man and the beast most commonly the wolf. The struggle between two animals fighting for dominance of one mind, body, and soul. That is how it seems in all the stories but it is much more complex than that and when both parts live in harmony in is truly wondrous. On Asmiara there are no longer wolves that do not take a human form and there are two main types.
While there are many packs most can trace back to either the Nekare Pack or the Leidekker Pack. Wolves, as they are often called by most though the term applies to those who come from Ashir's line because he was created as a wolf and transformed to human second, are one line. The other came from witches who tried to blend with regular wolves at the time they existed. This failed and transformed them into what was dubbed werewolves. Because of the carnage that followed wolves were hunted and as a result, regular wolves died out on Asmiara.
