In time it became clear that he and the other denizens of the void were unable to interact with this world in the same manner they had the void itself. Their form was incorporeal, but they eventually learned how to gain a more solid form. There were two ways to do this. The first was to be born into this realm, but the downfall with this method was they tended to forget who they were. The second method was to possess a body, but the downfall with this one was their connection to Asmiara was not as strong as if they had been born into it.
If they were born it meant entering a baby before it got a soul thus making them the child. If possession they could use a dead body or dying body or if strong enough take over a living host or make a deal to merge with a living person. This gives them memories of the person in a way making them both beings.
