Special Tricks
The ability to transform into a freezing gust of wind that transforms anything in its path into an eternal ice statue. Whether they actually turn into wind or move faster than can be seen is not known but the end result is known. A statue of ice that never melts is what remains. This is rare if only because they tend to be peaceful and only resort to such things in extreme situations. The can also create arctic winds by flapping their wings but these are more incline to blizzard winds then freezing someone in ice.
Death and Rebirth
A phoenix is a long-lived race that depending on how you look at it is immortal. They go through a cycle that lasts for a thousand years. After the end of the cycle, a phoenix will be consumed by blue fire. It is a cold fire and the form will be consumed and out of the flames will come to a flaming blue egg. During this time a phoenix can be killed for good. The egg can be destroyed and they will not return. If the egg is kept safe and cold in time the flames will explode the egg and the Phoenix will return to their form with all knowledge and a new cycle will begin.
Sometimes, it will look as if someone kills a phoenix before the end of a cycle. This happens when one receives something that would be a fatal blow to other creatures but due to the phoenixes ability to regenerate it is not. Instead, it turns into a pool of frozen water and in time melts. It then takes the form of a liquid phoenix rising out of the water till its cells regenerate to its solid form.
Healing
Phoenix can heal with their breath. They can freeze things but they can also heal wounds by blowing on them as well as physical alignments. Their tears can heal sickness and according to some legends bring someone back to life if the death was recent.
Birth
The first cycle is born like any normal child. They have a mom and a dad and come from the mother's womb. However, being an ice phoenix is rare and not promised even two phoenixes may not give birth to a phoenix offspring though it does increase the chance. If born to a phoenix and none phoenix child any child, not Phoenix will be the species of the other parent in the case of two phoenixes as parents, the child if not Phoenix will simply be human, having no powers.
