The last race that was created by the concepts werewolves even though their creation came after the death of the concept of life. Mireya had always been upset with her fellow concepts for creating species claiming they were sliding a bit into her turf by doing so though she herself said she wouldn't. The death of the concepts hurt many a great deal and among them was the first red dragon, Zahari who was her lover.
She met him one day when she was climbing the stairs to the tower where the concepts did business. He had just broken up with his lover and some say the passion between the two of them was instant. They sparked and after that, they were hardly ever apart. She was his world and he would do anything to protect her and he was her champion. When the concepts gave up their lives to imprison Devaraj he was lost but he wanted to create a fitting memorial for her.
So, he took her body into the woods surrounded by life. He placed her on the altar and using his fire set it ablaze hoping to seal the tomb forever, however, the last bit of her magic mixed with his fire. Some say it was his desire to look after her and hers to create something lasting for him to remember her by caught it all ablaze and from that fire, the first wolf was born, Ashir.
Ashir was born as a wolf and he could talk. In time he learned to take the shape of a man and later an in-between shape. He wandered alone in the world the only of his kind till by accident he realized that those he bites became like him. So, he created more of his kind. It was many centuries with only two forms of wolf and man before the third came in.
It came after the second kind of wolves came into being. Witches who tried to copy Astrea combined with wolves and lost control creating a man-beast with no control. The war that ensued made none shifting wolves extinct and Ashir's pack got caught in the backfire. As a result, he decided to learn the best form in order to learn to master it and help those witches that were controlled by it.
He managed to do that and taught his pack who in turn taught control to the new wolves and in time they learned to do the pure wolf form like the Nekare though it is hard for them to master. Once control was established an uneasy peace was declared though till this day tension run high between wolves and witches.
Once this was done he started his own search for a mate because he was lonely. He searched the world for his mate and could not find her till the day he came across the reincarnation of Life though neither knew it at the time, Aiyana Lavoie.
Like, the dragon who gave his fire to honor Life, the wolf will stay by her and protect her for that was what he was created to belong to her like his father before him.
